Sebastian Kneipp revolutionised naturopathic medicine in the 19th century. After having cured himself of tuberculosis by taking short immersions in the freezing cold Danube, he began intensive study of the health–promoting power of water and the healing properties of certain plants. Kneipp soon became a pioneer in the field of holistic healing and teaching in Germany and today the brand has a massive international cult following. The competence of a generations–old, tried and trusted naturopathic and pharmaceutical knowledge is now synonymous with his name and the brand has been going strong since 1891.
